Who are we?

Rotary - We are the oldest and most prestigious service club in the world. We bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-political and non-religious organization open to all. Rotarians above all are nice people - the nicest people on the face of the earth. So, it is important to be nice.

Why are we here?

Our motto in serving others is Service above Self

Our Rotary Vision Statement

Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Where do we focus?

We need strong membership, replicate ourselves, gather people who are like you, who have the same minds, good character, knows respect and decency. Let us invite them and channel their hopes to our project. We are people of action, our successes in our respective fields show it and even though sometimes we have faltered along the way, we got up and continued our journey. That is the strength of our inner self of a Rotarian! It is not the number of times we fall that counts but it is the number of times we get up. Let us remember CS Lewis who said that you cannot go back and change the beginning, but you can go back and change the ending! Let us focus on the need for continued growth by inviting leaders and professionals to strengthen our club. Let us share our strengths to make this happen.

Our goals

Strong membership, meaningful projects, partnerships with other clubs and regional associations such as PEER, new virtual reality experience is here to stay – we have to connect more, we continue to meet and we can be effective, productive meetings. Learn from the past theme -

Rotary Connects the World – the pure essence of Rotary will connect us with the people with projects such as Father Ben’s education project for the poor and support the humanitarian project in Southern Philippines.

We want to preserve our planet, so we must focus on our environment – let us support Fr Ben’s bamboo project – revisit it! I challenge our Director for International Service, let us see what we can do.

Work together and see what we can do with our youth program and the Rotaracts – do that with usual respect and work with young people that has to be on eye level. Let us listen what they say, their dreams and hopes for our motherland, the Philippines.

Yes, it will be an exciting year with families and friends, together we can make our world a better place. We still have time to make an impact. We have only just begun.

One of the things I have learned in PETS was from our Rotary International President Holger Knaack who restated our Theme Rotary Creates Opportunities.

What are the opportunities?

What our RI President meant was that we can have an opportunity for people and ourselves – people who need our help like computers in education, housing for the poor and water supply pumping station.

We have an opportunity to be a part of an international network. We have an opportunity to pursue a Youth program for them to lead a more meaningful life.

Just as timely, we have an opportunity to adopt and change and keep what we learn from this current pandemic crisis. Thus, we can create and as the RI President said be nimble and rethink how we can tackle our projects. We shall grow with new innovative ideas and be more flexible. Such is the essence of how we can convert a crisis into an opportunity for us.

According to the General Secretariat of RI has said, it also embedded in the Rotary DNA championed by Paul Harris - be evolutionary and revolutionary! This is a challenge to us. We must welcome it with an open mind and strong hearts, with grit and determination we shall overcome! We will be stronger than ever!

You and I will see beyond the valley an exciting year and maybe more in the years following it. We can only achieve what our minds can imagine in the next 5 years! What I see from the windows of my eyes are great things to achieve if we work together as one. In unity there is strength. How can we fail? No, we will not! Because we are Rotarians – we are the people of action.

So, help us God! Thank you!
